Orange Chick'n (Tofu!)

This was a little sweet for me, but if you like the tangy orange chicken/tofu this is perfect for you!



Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: Varies

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb tofu or 4 boneless chicken breasts
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • olive oil
  • 1/2 tbsp salt
  • 1 tsp balsamic vinegar
  • 3 tbsp ketchup
  • 6 oz. frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
  • 4 tbsp brown sugar




Instructions:
  1. In a bowl, mix the orange juice, brown sugar, vinegar, salt, and ketchup. 
  2. Pour flour in a small bowl, cover tofu or chicken in it and shake off excess 
  3. Pour a small amount of olive oil in a skillet and brown the flour-covered tofu or chicken (less color will occur on tofu)
  4. Place tofu or chicken in the mixture and let soak for 15 minutes 
  5. Pour entire mixture into a skillet and cook until slightly crispy 
  6. OR, place pieces on a baking sheet and cook in oven for roughly 25 minutes, flipping half way through
